What a week!

Caught the first train from Stockport this morning but Starbucks was closed. So the security guy offered to give me a cup of tea. Completely made my day! Arrived at 11.30am in London and started my 3rd concert of the week at 12.30pm. Wow, what a week! Tomorrow, Rach Pag rehearsal and meeting with Maria […]

First performance of Mozart 21 this evening with Stockport Symphony Orchestra and lovely Matthew Wood. Wonderful to have so many friends in the audience, thanks so much for coming Jamie, Delphine, Fred, Bryan. Hugs to all x

After 2 planes, taxi, train, bus, taxi again, I finally managed to get to my Mozart no 21 rehearsal with Stockport Symphony Orchestra and fabulous Matthew Wood this evening. All is well when it ends well. A lot of fun and can’t wait for out concert on Saturday!

RIP Maestro Abbado

Had a wunderbar day in Munich and a very enjoyable concert in the Allerheiligen Hofkirche where I made all my introductions in German for the first time. Jawohl! The whole day was saddened by the news of Maestro Abbado’s passing, what a legend and how many musical lives he influenced without even knowing. RIP

Let 2014 begin…

Very nice start of the year with the Wiltshire and Swindon Youth Orchestra and brilliant Tim Redmond performing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Today’s rehearsal was so inspiring, loved seeing these kids (mostly under 18) being so creative and enthusiastic. Concerts tomorrow and Saturday, can’t wait.  at Wiltshire Music Centre
