Live on BBC Radio 4

A (not so) typical Saturday morning- woke up at 5am to be at the British Broadcasting Corporation live on BBC Radio 4 in The Today Programme, talking about immigration, Romanians and culture. A positive outlook on Romania, which will hopefully open up the debate from a different angle and get people to think for themselves […]

Transylvania Festival

Photos from the second day of “Transylvania Festival” with Alexandru Tomescu at Fundatia Adept Transilvania in London where we gave the UK premieres of Dinu Lipatti’s and Tiberiu Olah’s Sonatinas for violin and piano. Happy times 🙂 with Alexandru Tomescu and Razvan Danaila.

Playing in a castle

Bishop Auckland Castle was my home for a day. Awesome playing in the Throne Room and having my English family there! It’s been a good week with 4 concerts in 6 days with a lot of travelling and new friendships made. Feeling happy and emotionally drained- hooray for the free weekend:-)

Just done an interview and a bit of tinkling the ivories with the BBC Newsnight team.

3 days, 3 concerts. Tonight sees the first collaboration between Alexandru Tomescu and I supporting Fundatia Adept Transilvania. Beautiful programme: Paganini, Chopin, Bartok and the UK premiere of Lipatti and Olah’s Sonatinas for violin and piano. A lot of notes, Lipatti wasn’t kind…but he wrote some extraordinary music!Huge congrats to Champs Hill Records on their […]

This is the place that encouraged me to dream big, make new beautiful friendships and welcomed me into the most wonderful community that has become part of my family. Incredibly privileged to be back this weekend, for […]

For the past year I’ve been involved with Fundatia Adept Transilvania in organising “Transylvania Festival” which will take place 13- 15 May and thrilled to bits that HRH Prince Charles is attending the launch of the Festival! Also delighted Alexandru Tomescu will be joining me for an exciting concert on 14 May where we will […]
